What the trend is

The clip is filmed from across the street at night. The camera pushes in on a single lit window in a dark apartment block. Behind the glass, someone sits at a small table eating a burger. Mid-chew they notice the camera, freeze and stare straight into the lens, then put the burger down, get up and pull the curtain across the window. That is the whole joke: the awkward moment of being watched while you eat.

On TikTok it travels as a CapCut template, posted with the line "Try this filter yourself" and the tags #capcutpioneer and #pioneertemplate. People swap their own face, a friend's or a pet's into the window.

Why it spread

It needs no dialogue, works at any size on a phone, and the payoff (the stare, then the curtain) lands in under 15 seconds. Everyone knows the feeling of eating alone and being seen, which makes "put me in the window" the obvious remix.

Making your own

Upload a photo in the generator above. You can keep the apartment and the burger or switch to a cafe, a diner, pizza or noodles. Step by step: how to make the window peeper AI video.
